Back to swimming!

The past one week saw the opening up of dine-in and some other privileges for fully vaccinated people..

I went shopping yesterday, browsing and buying some household stuffs for the house that I have been putting off for a few months due to the lockdown.. Bought a notebook for work use because I hate using papers as they all go really messy after a while..

While I was at the mall, I took the chance to dine in at my favorite Japanese restaurant.. I mean there's some food that just doesn't do justice if you takeaway, Japanese for example..

Also I just needed an excuse to get out of the house..

Among the better news is that the reopening of swimming pools.. But in compliance to SOP, no shower is allowed..

I mean, I for one, fully support that we need to reopen sectors but I also really fail to see the logic why showers not allowed..

ON WHAT BASIS??

SOCIAL DISTANCING? Hello, the shower room is perhaps the most socially distancing abled place! Unless the govt really think that we all shower together..

So after 4 months of not swimming, I really needed that swim, and the morning drizzle didn't stop me..

1.5km swim later and I felt the extra-chlorinated water just gets to me.. Usually its not that thick but I guess perhaps its been closed for so long, something's gotta give..

The checking was really tight, scan temperature twice, check for digital certificate twice and scan mysejahtera twice too..

But its good, because the entire pool just only few people, including myself and a friend, an avid swimmer too.. Once I told him yesterday the pool is reopening, he's so excited and upbeat about it!

So whatever it is, its really time to live with covid and manage it.. Lockdown perpetually isn't the answer!
